If you've been thinking of selling your home, now is the time to start preparing for a fall sale. Here are some simple renovations that our real estate agents recommend making in the coming weeks.
- Replace the Garage Door
Is your garage door a little loose and wobbly? Maybe it has some early spots or rust, or perhaps the wood has started to rot around the hardware. Having your garage door replaced is a pretty quick and inexpensive project, and it will really boost your home's curb appeal.
Most people use their garage door several times a day. So, a new, smoothly operating garage door is an upgrade buyers will really appreciate. - Refinish the Deck or Porch
If your home's deck or porch has a faded finish or peeling paint, make sure you refinish it before you remodel your home. In the fall, people often pay close attention to outdoor elements since the weather is so pleasant. If buyers see a nicely refinished deck or porch, they'll look forward to spending time on it.
