Lafayette's Live Music Scene: Venues and Upcoming Concerts

- Terry Huval and Friends – 3480 Northeast Evangeline Throughway. Lafayette, LA 70507
Terry Huval and Friends will be sponsored by the fabulous local Prejean's Restaurant on every Tuesday night in September and through the rest of the season. It all happens in the classy yet comfortable Cypress Room from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. – and while you are taking it all in, you can enjoy the chef-led menu. It focuses on Cajun and Creole cuisine, along with some of the best authentic pizzas and fresh pastries in the area. - Dulcimer Jam – 978 Kennerson Road, Opelousas, LA 70570
Dulcimer Jam is another terrific event from the St. Landry Parish Visitor Center, which is always ready to help welcome residents and visitors alike. The Dulcimer Jam is a long-running event that happens on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Bluegrass enthusiasts gather with host Joe Besse.
- Sound Bite Open Mic – 2601 Southeast Evangeline Throughway, Lafayette, LA 70508
Sound Bite Open Mic is a weekly event sponsored by Gator Cove, the home of Wildcat Brothers Brewing. The Wildcat Brothers flavor is built around craft rum using local sugarcane. The Open Mic happens between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Thursday nights. It is open to musicians, poets, comedians, actors, and everyone who has something to say, no matter who they are or where they come from. Drop in and share the excitement! - Rock n' Roll Bowl de Lafayette – 905 Jefferson Street, Lafayette, LA 70501
Rock n' Roll Bowl de Lafayette is a combination live music venue and bowling alley that brings together musical guests from all over the country to fuse the unique musical styling of Louisiana with classic American sounds of rock and roll. All throughout the year, different acts appear right at the local Rock n' Roll Bowl here in Lafayette. General admission for the live music events is $17 per person and can be paid for in advance online. - Cajun Jam – 1106 Bushville Highway, Arnaudville, LA 70512
Cajun Jam is taking place every week in September and October on Sundays at Bayou Teche Brewing. Bayou Teche is one of the area's most popular craft breweries, and Cajun Jam calls in local talent for a fun afternoon of the best Cajun music. It happens between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. and is completely free to attend. While there, you can savor the latest sips from the brewery, along with cafe food and food truck fare.
