Live Music Events Around Baton Rouge

Opened in 2014, Henry Turner Jr's Listening Room has become a Baton Rouge institution. Every Thursday night at 8pm, the listening room hosts Henry Turner Jr. & Flavor, a band of local music legends playing a distinctive blend of Louisiana reggae, blues, soul and funk. You won't find a friendlier place to check out a live band, and they have music on Friday and Saturday nights as well. - Tuesdays - Open Mic at Brickyard South - 174 South Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70802
The Baton Rouge area offers several open mic nights for anyone who wants to hear local music or share some of their own. One of the best around takes place on Tuesday nights at Brickyard South, a lively and eclectic watering hole with an outdoor patio and small indoor stage.
