Outdoor Festival

Are you ready for festival season? The spring calendar around Louisiana is always packed with exciting events, including some of the most anticipated festivals of the year near New Orleans homes for sale. From neighborhood festivals to huge annual events like the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, spring features a little bit of everything. Our real estate agents have more on upcoming festivals just in time for the start of spring.

  • Freret Street Festival – 4405 Freret St., New Orleans, LA 70115
    What began as an annual neighborhood block party has grown into one of the biggest neighborhoods festivals of the year in New Orleans, with the Freret Street Festival now featuring more than 200 local vendors offering art, home goods, handmade items, and much more, alongside great food and free live entertainment. This year's Freret Street Festival begins at 11:00 AM on March 29, 2025.

  • New Orleans Entrepreneur Week – 6363 St. Charles Ave., New Orleans, LA 70118
    Hosted by Loyola University, New Orleans Entrepreneur Week is structured more like a festival than a business conference, with 6 days of events allowing you to connect with a wide range of entrepreneurs, startup founders, industry leaders, investors, and much more. This event blends learning and networking with fun, by looking at the connections between culture and innovation. Look forward to this event from March 24-29, 2025.

  • Tennessee Williams Literary Festival – 938 Lafayette St., Ste. 514, New Orleans, LA 70113
    For nearly 40 years, the Tennessee Williams Literary Festival has celebrated the rich literary culture of New Orleans, and Louisiana as a whole. The event brings together authors, playwrights, actors, and speakers from the industry for 5 days of literary events, ranging from panels to live performances. You can see it all from March 26-30, 2025, with events centered at Hotel Monteleone but also taking place at other venues around the city.

  • Overlook Film Festival – 333 Canal St., New Orleans, LA 70130
    Do you like scary movies? If so, you'll feel right at home at the Overlook Film Festival, a film festival focused on the horror genre. You'll have the chance to see new films in a variety of lengths, from both masters of the genre and emerging filmmakers. There will also be interactive events, live shows, radio plays, and unique immersive experiences. It all takes place April 3-6, 2025 at Canal Place.

  • French Quarter Festival – French Quarter, New Orleans, LA
    Our next neighborhood festival is one that lovers of great music and even better food won't want to miss. The French Quarter Festival returns from April 10-13, 2025, with a nearly endless schedule of live music spread across 22 stages. More than 65 top restaurants will also be participating, offering delicious meals, live cooking demonstrations, and much more.

  • New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival – 1751 Gentilly Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70119
    Always one of the biggest events of the year, the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, usually shortened to Jazz Fest, is back from April 24 – May 4, 2025 at the Fairgrounds. Many of the biggest names in music, from Pearl Jam to Lil' Wayne & The Roots, will be performing at this year's Jazz Fest, and as always there will be tons of smaller events held around the city in conjunction with the main event.
