Springtime in New Orleans always feels like a rebirth. The city bursts forth this time of year, full of life and creativity. But it's not just blooming flowers and budding leaves; the city's art scene also offers new colors and sounds to experience.
In honor of spring, our real estate agents are excited to highlight some of the current and upcoming exhibits and performances they're most excited about. Here's where to go to see the art scene in full bloom this spring.
- New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA) - 1 Collins Diboll Cir, New Orleans, LA 70124
The city's oldest institution dedicated to fine arts, the New Orleans Museum of Art has been highlighting classic works of art as well as cutting-edge artists since 1911. In addition to its vast permanent collection that spans centuries and continents, NOMA also hosts an ever-changing array of programs, exhibits and events. We're especially looking forward to Art in Bloom, which will display floral designs created by artists from New Orleans and beyond; the exhibit runs from March 26 to 30. The museum is convenient to many New Orleans homes for sale, and admission is free for Louisiana residents every Wednesday.
