Le Festival de Mardi Gras à Lafayette – 444 Cajundome Blvd., Lafayette, LA 70506
Looking for one family-friendly event that allows you to experience many different aspects of Mardi Gras? From delicious, authentic Cajun cuisine to live music and parades that roll right through the festival grounds, Le Festival de Mardi Gras à Lafayette has it all. Kids love seeing the vibrant, exciting parades, as well as visiting the large carnival area with rides, games, and prizes. Like many Lafayette Mardi Gras events and parades, the festival is coordinated by the Greater Southwest Louisiana Mardi Gras Association (GSW). This year's Le Festival de Mardi Gras à Lafayette takes place February 28 – March 4, 2025, at Cajun Field. -
Greater Southwest Pageant and Grand Ball – 1373 S. College Rd., Lafayette, LA 70503
The Greater Southwest Pageant and Grand Ball is the second big Lafayette Mardi Gras event organized by GSW, and it's always free and open to the public. Enjoy a full evening of live entertainment, Mardi Gras traditions, and plenty of fun surprises. Join the celebration on March 4, 2025, starting at 8:00 PM at the Heymann Center. -
Monday Night Parade – 444 Cajundome Blvd., Lafayette, LA 70506
Don't let the simple name fool you – the Monday Night Parade is one of the biggest in all of Lafayette, featuring 11 different krewes. This is your chance to see the Krewe of Attakapas, Krewe of Triton, Krewe of Victoria, Krewe of Xanadu, Krewe D'argent, Krewe of Troubadours, Krewe de Rendezvous, Krewe Bon Amis, Krewe of Apollo, Krewe of Karencro, and Krewe of Olympus all in one parade. Like all of Lafayette's Mardi Gras parades, you can see the Monday Night Parade at the Le Festival de Mardi Gras à Lafayette or along the traditional route, which you can view at the Monday Night Parade link. The Monday Night Parade takes place on March 3, 2025, starting at 6:00 PM. -
Children's Parade – 444 Cajundome Blvd., Lafayette, LA 70506
Bring the little ones out on a Saturday afternoon for the fun, family-friendly Children's Parade, another parade that brings together a wide range of different krewes. This parade includes the Krewe d'Amusement, Krewe of Camelot, Krewe of Versailles, Krewe of Oberon, Krewe des Jeunes Amis, and Krewe of Troubadours. You can see the parade at 12:30 PM on March 1, 2025, at the same locations as the Monday Night Parade. -
Krewe of Allons Kick-Off Parade – 444 Cajundome Blvd., Lafayette, LA 70506
The Krewe of Allons Kick-Off Parade is a new tradition first launched in 2024, and it's back once again on February 28, 2025, at 6:30 PM to kick off Le Festival de Mardi Gras à Lafayette. This parade brings some Ragin' Cajuns flair to Lafayette's Mardi Gras Festivities, supporting student-athletes from the University of Louisiana.
